Founder
Michael’s life started in the small town of Montpelier, Vermont. After attending Babson College in Massachusetts, he went west to Boulder, Colorado. Seven years later Michael finally made it across country settling down in California. Michael has been a California licensed Life & Health agent for over 30 years. He began his insurance career with a life insurance company and a year later decided to move to the broker side of insurance. During the next few years, he worked for a few different agencies as he learned from some of the best minds in the industry. In 1994 he found a business partner with the same goals of entrepreneurship and they opened their business together. About fourteen years later, as his original business partner was nearing retirement, they decided to split the company. Voila, the birth of Bernardini & Donovan Insurance Services in 2008. Michael is both proud and extremely thankful to have so many of his loyal clients remain with him as he’s built a successful business to support his family.
Founder
Adrian was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. Early in life, he moved to Minnesota and attended Maplewood Academy, a private Christian high school. Following high school, he returned to Lincoln, NE, and attended Union College. Adrian began his career in the insurance industry in 2003 as an agent specializing in group benefits. Currently, Adrian is part owner and Vice President of Bernardini and Donovan Insurance Services. Adrian is known to take exceptional care of his clients. His attention to detail and care for his clients’ individual needs has made him successful in the insurance business. Adrian is married with two daughters. An avid sports fan, Adrian enjoys playing a wide variety of sports, performing with his acapella gospel group, and spending quality time with his family.
Case Manager
Cindy has approximately 22 years of experience in the health insurance industry maintaining client accounts. Cindy prides herself in providing her clients with the care and service that they deserve. She believes that providing outstanding customer service is the key to a successful agent-client relationship. Having built our agency under the same premise, Cindy is very excited to be working with our team of elite producers. Her goal is aligned with the corporate goal of becoming an extension of our clients’ Human Resources Department. She achieves this through the constant communications, attention to detail, and personalized customer service.
Agent
Nancy has been with Bernardini & Donovan for over four years. She came to Bernardini & Donovan after working as a Branch Manager in Banking for over 23 years. Nancy has her California Department of Insurance License in Accidental and Health.
Nancy is dedicated to specializing only in Medicare and enjoys working with our clients helping them with their Social Security and Medicare questions.
Nancy, in her spare time, enjoys baking and spending quality time with her husband.
Agent
Iris Gaytan is one of our Agents who specializes in the Individual and Family Plans and also assists with our Medicare and Small Group clients. Iris has been with Bernardini and Donovan for eight years. She has extensive knowledge of all the products and policies available. She is motivated to maintain customer satisfaction and contribute to company success. As an Insurance Agent, she evaluates the clients’ necessities and other aspects of their profile to offer the best policy for each client.
Account Manager
Jenny Clemmer has been in the health insurance industry for over 25 years. She has worked on the carrier side which includes Aetna, FHP, PacifiCare and United Healthcare where she obtained her Department of Insurance Life Agent License in 2006.
Jenny has been an account manager here at Bernardini & Donovan Insurance Services for the last four years. Her role here is assisting her brokers in servicing their employer group clients with renewals as well as their day to day needs.
In her spare time, she enjoys entertaining family & friends with BBQ’s by the pool and loves spending time boating at the river with her husband Rick and daughter Jamie.
Agent
Berry Randle has resided in San Diego for most of his life. Berry brings a wealth of talent, fresh ideas, and a conviction to always do what is best for the client to Bernardini & Donovan Insurance Services. We are proud to have Berry as a team member and he is fluent in Spanish. After graduating high school in San Diego, Berry graduated from San Diego State University in 1997 with a major in Public Administration. Berry has been a licensed agent for us since 2012 serving the San Diego area. Berry has a passion for life and you will notice this sincere quality the moment you meet him.
Agent
Nancy is one of our newest team members. Nonetheless she joined us with nearly 15 years of insurance experience and is fluent in Spanish. Since a very young age she has worked in a wide-ranging customer service centered industries. Nancy learned the importance of using a compassionate approach when dealing with clients. She understands how overwhelming insurance can be to many people. Her goal is to make clients confident in understanding their coverage. Nancy’s favorite tool to improve customer service experience is technology, and taking advantage of its convenience to get information to insureds. Nancy has a passion for wellness and mental health, she really enjoys learning about the benefits the health insurance companies are developing in this field. She is a proud mother of two kids, Isabella and Andrés. During her free time she loves to spend time with her kids and their Rottweiler named Honey!
Agent
I was born and raised in Redlands California. After graduating from REV high school I attended UC Riverside and majored in Mathematics. I started in insurance during college and learned the Property and Casualty side of the industry. Now I have found my niche as a producer with Bernardini & Donovan as a group producer. My goal is to bring the best quality service and expertise to all of my clients.
I enjoy spending quality time with my friends and family and love snowboarding, wake boarding and staying as active as possible
